“The wise woman completes her work by doing nothing.
Things arise and she lets them come,
Things leave and she lets them go.
Creating, not possessing,
Facilitating, yet laying no claim.
And when her work is done, she forgets about it, and so it lasts forever!”

Testimonials

“I was so relieved to have you there with us.”

“We decided to seek out doula support for our planned homebirth and are forever grateful we found Kaitlin. From our first visit together, I knew she would be the perfect fit and that my goal for a physiological home birth would be supported. Kaitlin had many of the same values around birth that I was looking for in this experience. Kaitlin brings a wealth of knowledge (including her experience as an RN which is a huge added benefit), but above all else is extremely caring, compassionate and calm. The entire experience from beginning to end was incredible. We had two pre-natal visits which helped establish a connection, work on our birth preferences, as well as useful pain coping techniques and put myself and my partner completely at ease with our decision for a home birth. When it was “go-time”, Kaitlin was with us through it all. She helped us remain calm, continued to reassure and was pivotal in guiding us through different positions including getting much needed rest and protecting our oxytocin bubble which finally led to a fast active labor and birth. I have no doubt in my mind that without her support, I may not have had the home birth experience that I really wanted. After birth, Kaitlin helped to protect our golden hour and guided us through the first feed. Finally, we had a lovely postpartum visit, where Kaitlin answered all our questions about sleep, feeds, and those first few newborn days/weeks. The visit also included Kaitlin gifting us a beautifully written birth story (including pictures and videos) which we will cherish always.”

“Kaitlin was such an amazing addition to my birth team. Not only did she take the time to get to know me, but she got to know my partner as well. We felt like she really cared about us, and what we wanted. She was always quick to get back to me when I asked questions, and was super helpful. Couldn't recommend her enough.”

“Kaitlin was instrumental in my postpartum recovery and my family’s re-adjustment to life with a newborn. This is my second child but it’s crazy all the things you forget in the newborn stage. Kaitlin was so kind, informative and in tune with how I was feeling and what I needed. She helped take care of me so I could take care of my family.
She would arrive with her red riding hood basket, read the room and just start getting things done - whether it be tidying up the kitchen, making sure I’ve eaten, and helping me with baby wearing. She helped me re-learn how to breastfeed and organize our nursery. This helped alleviate my mom “mental load” and allowed me to have quality time with my newborn and take the proper time to rest and recover.
We interviewed many doulas and are so glad we met Kaitlin! Her nursing background was evident and it was comforting to make informed decisions with scientific context. Overall I would highly recommend Kaitlin if you are needing a doula! If you are on the fence about a doula, get one. In the throws of the newborn chaos, you’ll be so glad you have one.”

“We decided to hire a doula for our first pregnancy and Kaitlin was highly recommended. I can not even being to express how thankful and grateful I am to have met her. She was always available and always guided us when we felt lost or overwhelmed. Kaitlin is compassionate, supportive and very calming! We are forever grateful for Kaitlin.”

“Anyone would be blessed and lucky beyond belief to have her in their corner. She is the hardest working, kindest, most patient, caring woman I know. Take a look at her page and see if she has anything she might be able to offer you, because I 100% promise you, you will not regret working with her.”

“I have had the honor and privilege to work alongside Kaitlin for several years in the field of mental health. Kaitlin has a very intuitive and empathetic approach towards her patients and her co-workers. She is genuine, and empowers everybody that she speaks to. Kaitlin is also resourceful and knowledgeable. She is keen to share this knowledge in a way that enhances perspective with anyone having a conversation with her.”

“I felt so much more prepared for birth after meeting Kaitlin. I couldn’t have done it without her.”
First time mother
“My partner and I first met Kaitlin at a doula event, and it became obvious in the first few minutes of chatting that she was a great fit for us. Not only did she have a calm and nurturing energy, her experience as an RN and mental health practitioner gave us additional confidence and helped us to feel emotionally supported during our time together. Kaitlin empowered us by educating us not only on the birth process, but also provided information and context as to how we would be able to advocate for our needs in the hospital. She encouraged us to consider both our birth plan, and what we wanted our postpartum experience to look like. Kaitlin was a huge help to myself, my partner and even the nurses during the birth of our son (and provided a ton of helpful gadgets and gizmos to boot!). During our post partum meeting, Kaitlin provided us with a ‘Birth Story’, that will be a cherished keepsake. Although this was our first birth experience and we were initially unsure as to the benefits that a doula would provide, Kaitlin went above and beyond and we look forward to having her be part of our ‘birthing team’ for all future children.”

“Kaitlin was a valued part of our birth team for weeks, solidly empowering us for what was to come. In the few minutes before we were sent from our birthing room to the OR for an emergency C-section, we expressed our desire for Kaitlin to be present and the medical team agreed. We are extremely grateful that she was there. Her presence not only made us feel infinitely more safe and secure – having a knowledgeable advocate for myself, my spouse and our baby – but she also was able to capture the experience in photos and videos that we will cherish the rest of our lives. Birth is such a big event and can easily be traumatic. The presence of a doula can be transformative in a positive and profound way, especially when you find yourself in unexpected situations."
