Choosing the right therapist - everytime.

What is choosing the right therapist wasn’t about their credentials, the therapy modalities trained in, or years of experience? What if, instead, the right therapist was simply about the rapport you built with them?

Sounds way to simply right? But in reality, this is true!

A great therapeutic rapport with your therapist is the best predictor of this whole therapy thing working out! So if that’s the case, then what is therapeutic rapport, and why should you care?

Therapeutic rapport is in a nutshell the relationship you build with your therapist - is it a good match? Do you feel respected, safe, and understood? Do you feel seen and yet challenged, respectfully of course. If its working, you’ll feel it. Is your therapist professional but open and genuine. Do they hold space for your emotions and feedback? Do they show flexibility in the work you’re doing together? Are they responsive to your wants and needs for your work together?
